Harvey 1/2-inch white PTFE thread seal tape (Teflon tape) is the everyday sealant for threaded plumbing connections – shower arms, water supply lines, hose bibs, anywhere two threaded metal pipes meet. 520-inch length, enough for dozens of joints. Apply 3-4 wraps around the male threads in the direction of tightening before assembly. Cheap insurance against threaded-joint leaks – keep a roll in every toolbox. Important: do NOT use on gas lines (yellow gas-rated tape is required).
