The Delta RP72584 is a complete decorative trim kit — handle and escutcheon plate — for Delta MultiChoice 14 series shower valves. It lets you refresh an aged or dated-looking shower without touching the plumbing in the wall, which is the whole point of the MultiChoice platform.
This kit is the chrome finish; Delta offers other finishes under different RP numbers, so you can match it to the rest of the bathroom hardware. It fits all Delta MultiChoice 14 series rough-in valves, so the only thing to confirm is that your in-wall valve is a MultiChoice 14 series.
Swapping trim is one of the highest-return cosmetic bathroom updates: it installs with basic hand tools over the existing valve, with no plumbing changes behind the wall.
