Description
After 10+ years in service, a Moen single-handle cartridge bonds to the valve body, and ordinary pliers will snap the cartridge stem off — turning a 30-minute repair into a hours-long ordeal. The Moen 104421 cartridge puller is the manufacturer's tool that prevents exactly that.
It grips the cartridge body and pulls it straight up with mechanical advantage, so the cartridge comes out intact. It works with Moen single-handle cartridges including the 1224, 1222, and 1225.
If you are replacing any Moen single-handle cartridge for the first time, buy this tool first — it is cheap insurance against the most common way these repairs go sideways.
