Description
The Oatey 42057 is a standard 1-1/2 inch white PVC P-trap for kitchen and bathroom sinks. The trap is the curved pipe under the sink that holds a water plug to keep sewer gas out of your home – it slowly degrades, develops leaks at the slip joints, or fills with hair and gunk that causes slow drainage. Replacement is one of the most common DIY plumbing jobs. Tools required: channel-lock pliers, bucket to catch standing water in the existing trap.
