Description
If your toilet runs, refills slowly, or hisses long after a flush, the fill valve is the usual cause — and the Fluidmaster 400A is the most widely installed replacement fill valve in North America. It replaces the older float-ball (ballcock) assembly inside the tank.
It is height-adjustable from 9 to 14 inches and fits all standard tank toilets, including American Standard, Kohler, TOTO, Mansfield, and Eljer. The anti-siphon design meets code in all U.S. jurisdictions, and the box includes a new shank washer and refill tube.
Tools: an adjustable wrench and a sponge or towel for the water left in the tank. Most first-time installs take 10-15 minutes.
