The Fluidmaster PRO45B PerforMAX is the upgraded version of the iconic 400A fill valve. It has the same universal fit for any standard tank toilet, but runs quieter, refills faster, and offers more precise water-level adjustment.
If the 400A is the universal fix for a running or slow-filling toilet, the PerforMAX is the premium one — the same straightforward install with noticeably better performance. It is a sensible choice if your last fill valve was noisy or slow to recover between flushes.
Tools: an adjustable wrench and a towel for the water in the tank. Install time is the same 10-15 minutes as the 400A.
